So Much Has Been Happening!

Well new day care is just amazing. Everyone there LOVES G and I don't even worry at all. Each time I call they talk with me about how she's doing and tell me funny stories from her day. When I go pick her up, she's smiling and even lets out a giggle when she sees me. G was with her auntie for 2 days and missed daycare... today she went back and they fussed all over her and told me how much they'd missed her when she was out. I feel REALLY good about new daycare and couldn't be happier that things have worked out.

Little G is now sleeping (mostly) through the night. She goes to bed by 8:30 and only wakes up once between 2 and 4 to eat... and she goes right back down. I then need to wake her at 6:45 so we can leave. (I've probably just jinxed myself!!) She is rolling over from tummy to back and back to tummy. She freaked us out one night when we went to check on her and she was tummy sleeping. Pedi says it's fine though, now she's strong enough to handle it.

G is using her jumparoo, sitting in a high chair (no solids yet), and becoming increasingly more mobile. She's my big grown up 4 month old baby now and I am so proud of her.

Hi. I just stumbled over your blog and enjoyed reading about your experience with your little one. I am a teacher as well and would like to know if you recommend having a baby around November and taking off in the middle of the year as opposed to the end? My husband and I are wanting to have a baby but are struggling with the timing. We would like to have one in Novemberish but are worried about it being the right time of year for me??

Hi there, glad you found my blog. It's a tough call when to "plan" a pregnancy. We had hoped to conceive in July/August some year and have our baby in April, but then were told the Dr didn't think we'd ever get pregnant on our own. About a year after that Dx we decided to try on our own and immediately got pregnant so little G came in November. I was concerned about it interrupting my school year at first, but now, I would TOTALLY have another November baby. First of all, she'll be one of the oldest in her class which means she'll be SO ready for school. No worrying about when to start her... Also I was able to take Thanksgiving break, and Winter break and not use sick time for those thus extending my leave a little bit and using less sick days. Also, I don't know what grade you teach, but I missed ALL of snowsuit season! :-) It ended up working out so great for us... We may even try to "plan" the next baby to be a November baby. Good luck!
