Marvelous Monday (In leiu of Terrific Tuesday)

Today was a marvelous day. Not sure what's been up this month but DH and I have had absolutely perfect weekends. Each one busy but each one happy, relaxing, enjoyable and terrific for our relationship. This afternoon coming home we just grinned at each other glad for some more wonderful time together. (I am making myself a little sick with all this happiness right now, but I can't help it!)

Today we woke up and took the dogs to the park. We enjoyed a nice breakfast of strawberry pancakes and then went to see some of my students and one of DH's friends in a parade. It was really lots of fun. It's been too many years since I've gone to a parade and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We spent the rest of the day riding around town with the top and doors off the Jeep. At 74* it doesn't get much better than that! We are now both sunburned but what a day. DH is cooking dinnre on the grill as I relax and we are both looking forward to a quick week. June 2 is DH's surgery so we've been lucky to have such great weekends this month.... June may be bringing us another story.

Terrific Tuesdays

Yes folks, Terrific Tuesdays are back! Did ya miss it? I did!!

Today was terrific because:
There are 30 days left in the school year.
I got TONS of work done today.
DH took me out to dinner tonight for teacher appreciation week.
I had no meetings today, before or after school.
There was nothing pressing I had to deal with today... it was just a nice regular day.
(Those are MUCH appreciated in my world!)

Terrific Tuesdays OOPS!

Well I wrote my last post and totally forgot it is Terrific Tuesday!

Today was terrific because...

• I got lots done on my NBPT writing- I am best when I am busy!
• I sang Mama Mia! songs all the way to work. I rocked!!
• My kiddos were all back today (many absent yesterday due to storm and late start)
• Drama club is in full swing and I finished casting.
• Some of my students colored George Washington brown today arguing that Barack Obama has skin that color why can't George Washington. I appreciated the logic even if it didn't fit with history.
• I finally said NO to being on a committee. My colleagues looked shocked but I put my foot down and said I didn't have time.

Terrific Tuesdays

Today was terrific because:

I was on vacation.
I got to have lunch with my mommy.
I finished up my video taping for NBPTS.
I got a cute new haircut to help me enter this new phase of my life.
I remembered to take my temperature before I got out of bed.
I cooked a brand new dish for dinner tonight and DH clapped for me! (I didn't think to take a picture until after he'd had a second helping).
Bell got spayed today (not so terrific for her but it crosses one thing off my to do list).

YAY For terrific Tuesdays!

Food Belly

I have a little food belly this evening. DH has been gone the last couple of evenings getting the Jeep back in working order so tonight he took me out for an early Valentine's day gift. We went to my favorite Italian place (they let you draw on the tables!). We had appetizers, salads, entrees, and dessert. I actually had to unbutton my button down blouse just now. Ahhhhhhhhh I love date nights!

Ok on to MORE reasons why today was terrific... (it IS terrific Tuesday after all!)

I woke up to a beautifully clean house (I cleaned last night while DH was at the shop)
My meeting this morning went very well
I got to my classroom to find a valentine card with Sawyer on it! He offered to make me a mix tape :-) (I love LOST)
My students were amazingly good today
We took 15 minutes to sing and dance this afternoon
DH is home- FINALLY!
Only 3 days until VACATION!

Terrific Tuesdays

Happy Terrific Tuesday!! I hope you are all having a terrific day. My day was busy but that just means there was more opportunity to find terrific things...

I had a large Chai Tea from Tim Horton's this morning. They make the BEST Chai Tea.
I stuck to my carb count all day since we are beginning TTC again.
My neck isn't hurting as badly from my fall.
I caught up on all the e-mails that have been patiently waiting for my reply.
I even sent some e-mails of my own for business that needs to be completed.
I got my e-mail account sending from my new laptop- now my Mac is every bit as good as my PC.

So today was terrific. Tomorrow is going to be terrific because we have a juggler coming to our classroom. Now tell me how many of YOU get to have a juggler come to your job and perform?! Why is your Tuesday terrific?

OH OH LATE ENTRY- DH wanted to add his own. He said today is terrific because it's the second day off our BCP so that puts us one day closer to a little baby! GOSH I LOVE THAT MAN!

Terrific Tuesdays

It's been a few weeks since I've remembered to blog about terrific Tuesdays!
For those of you visiting from ICLW: It's so easy to get bogged down in the worry, emotion and stress of fertility challenges. I have set aside Tuesdays each week to write about all the things terrific that have happened in just that one day. No matter how bad my day was (and today was a doozy) there are always some terrific things I can write about! :-)

Today was terrific because:
I had a really nice dream last night and woke up feeling peaceful and relaxed.
I woke up to find that I had guessed correctly on a blog challenge!! See the post below for more information.
School was actually quite good, the kids were following directions, we got to play outside and I got everything done that I wanted to accomplish with the kids.
It looks like we will be having a snow day tomorrow! (I really don't want one because it messes up when the 100th day will be BUT I could use it for my mental health)

Today was terrific for lots of reasons!

Terrific Tuesdays

Today is terrific because I didn't get a traffic ticket. I've been pulled over 8 times in 12 years and not a single ticket. Today the officer stopped me because I was going a *wee* bit over the limit but also that my registration looked like it had expired. Luckily for me I had my renewed registration (from 3 days ago) in the car. This time he didn't even tell me what the fines would be or anything- just let me go. PHEW!! DH was in the car with me too, he was making fun of me the whole time- no help from him! But today was terrific because I didn't get a ticket.

Geez- the holiday season sure has me off track, it just dawned on me that today is a terrific Tuesday!

Today is terrific because...

• It is DH's birthday! Happy Birthday!
• I surprised DH with his birthday present.
• We had sushi for lunch.
• I am on vacation.
• We are ringing in the new year with friends and family.
• I am going to open and play my new Little Big Planet (TOTALLY fun for those of you who don't know!)
• I just made banana bread and baking makes me happy!

Wonderful Wednesday

I forgot all about Terrific Tuesdays this week with all the ICLW excitement so I am going to have to catch up...
Tuesday was wonderful because:
The school kids were so excited about Christmas
I have 12 entire days off
Someone plowed my driveway on Monday
Everyone is coming to MY house for Christmas breakfast
I got my first Christmas CD EVER thanks to a coworker who recognized this deficiency in my music collection (and yes, I celebrate Christmas, I am Catholic but NEVER had a Christmas CD)
We have a door on our coat closet

There is lots to be thankful for this week!

Today was terrific for many reasons:

• I got enough sleep last night
• My excitement level matched that of my students
• I shoveled my ENTIRE driveway- See pictures!
• I finished my shopping for the kids in my life (kindergarten, nephews, friends etc.)
• I got to do some reading for fun!

Today is terrific because:
It is my oldest(not oldest like she's the oldest person I know, but the person I have been friends with since the day she was born- 2 months after me exactly!) friend's birthday as well as her daughter's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!
I am going to bed at 8:00 SHARP.
I am now 338 months old (I LOVE my birthday- however I may just stay this age forever it is dawning on me that life is going by rather quickly)

Terrific Tuesdays

I wanted to come home and pity blog tonight. I had a super tough day at work and my real life was not much easier tonight but then I remembered- Terrific Tuesdays...

SO the reason today was terrific is because

• When my husband took me to the mall to cheer me up, someone asked me to jam with them on Rock Band!! I have long been an admirer of the game and would love to live my dream and be a rock star. I declined because I thought I'd mess up his gig but I was asked nonetheless and was really glad about it.
• Today is also terrific because my Washer and Dyer came home last night and RIGHT NOW I am doing my first load of laundry at MY own house!!

I have been feeling really down lately and I did not want to post another whiny pity party post so I decided just now that I am going to begin Terrific Tuesdays! This will force me to look for the good in everything a minimum of one day a week. FYI- I usually look on the bright side of things but lately it has been tough.

Today was terrific because...

• I learned now to use Garage Band to record myself reading my NB standards so I can play them in my car.
• Two of my kids who I have been worried are not connecting to me both drew me pictures and took the effort to write my name. (HUGE in kindergarten!)
• I stayed UNDER my carb target for the day!
• I finally worked out a schedule for the next 7 months which reduced my stress level significantly.
• DH is just unbelievably understanding and supportive even though I have been in a funk.
  
• It is the LAST Tuesday in October!
